Charlene

Owner and Senior Stylist

I started my hairdressing career at the age of 14, as was saving for a pair of designer boots (haha)

By the time i was in my twenties i was a fully qualified hairdresser, but im the type of person that pushes myself for more. So i took the decision to go back and get my HNC(which i was awarded student of the year) then my HND. From here i got the opportunity to work as an exchange student in Germany (which i went to college and worked as a junior stylist in a salon).
I Went on to work in TV and theatre doing hair and makeup (such exciting times). From here my career took me to Aberdeen to work for a few years which took my love for hairdressing to the next level and started my teaching diploma.

In 2014 I made the big decision to open my own salon, and ive never looked back. I have an amazing team and we are one big family full of love and laughter.

Im like a child in a candy store when it comes to learning new skills. Love being creative with my clients. I have so much passion and drive for this industry. Its what i was born to do.

Amanda Mc

Senior Stylist

I've been cutting and colouring hair for over 14 years and love the hair journeys I get to go on with clients. Thats also the great thing I love with working at - SHD,  learning all the new techniques and the new colour ranges that come with Paul Mitchell and Pulp Riot! I do enjoy getting to know my clients as I feel if I get to know you a bit better it helps me create the bespoke style suited to you

Amanda R

Senior Stylist

Hey my name is Amanda. I have been in the hairdressing industry for over 20 years. I love how the industry changes and you never do the same things all the time. I love to learn all the new techniques but still keep in touch with the old stuff as well. But what makes me happy is seeing the smile on all  my client faces after they have had their hair done and had a good chat with them all. My colleagues are my work family and I love that we all get on brilliant and bring the banter to the shop floor and include all our lovely clients.

Love Amanda R

Emma

Salon Manager/Stylist

From the beginning of my hairdressing journey I have realised it is something I am hugely passionate about. This makes it so much easier to stay positive and motivated especially working beside an amazing team. When you leave the salon feeling amazing and confident thats when I know I have done my job right, it gives me a reminder of why I love what I do, making other people feel good!

Zoe

Saturday Assistant

I have been a Saturday girl at Signature Hair Design for nearly 2 years now. Working with this amazing team and expanding my knowledge in different areas every weekend in the salon is something I love and is one of the many reasons I look forward to going to work every week. The fun and bubbly energy created by the close team in the salon makes it exciting for everyone visiting and made it incredibly easy for me to feel at home within my job. I enjoy meeting new and existing customers and hearing all of their amazing life stories, and the encouragement and advice some offer for my future. Although I am going to university in September and hair dressing isn’t what I want to do, I couldn’t have asked for a better Saturday job (who would have thought washing hair could be so much fun?) :)
